Wedding bells

Congrats to the newly weds! :)

klandmwedding

Gosh, I can feel that age is catching up! I have been getting steams of stories about people I know getting
contractually-attached. Weird weird.

Someone I know told me that her bf proposed to her in a very dramatic manner, involving a helicopter! So memorable, right? I told this to my bf and he mentioned about spaceship and the moon. I am expecting just that, nothing less! :P

Diwali performance :)

1 11 2008

The Indian community at my workplace organizes performance annually in conjunction with Diwali. About two months ago, the organizer sent an email to the company internal mailing asking for performers. I decided to volunteer for the performance, thinking that it would be fun. Plus, I also thought that I would get to know more people, learn more about Indian culture and get to wear Indian costume!

I am really glad that I decided to give it a shot. I get to know some wonderful friends and I truly enjoyed every moment with them. :)

The morning of the SHOW

We are a very detailed-oriented group of girls. We even ensured that our nail polish are of the same color

The crowd, looking forward to the performances… or that was what I thought :P

Our FINALE

Our choreographer! THANKS!

Need to snap a few group pictures after our performance. This is my favorite.

Our tattoos :)

Nice flower. I am not sure what is this called. Really took a lot of effort to do this. However, at the end of the day, this flower was vacuumed :(

Reminiscing and Visiting Pittsburgh: Prologue

14 02 2008

In the previous post, I wrote about what I saw and what I did. This post is dedicated to the people I met. :)

CMUCareerFair08
At the booth. We were given a choice of either red or black shirt.
I chose red, since the fair was on 7th Feb. Black is out of the question.
As you can see, I am the only person wearing red.
I also bumped into two girls I knew from
Oral Communications class. Great to catch up with them.
AminaMe
I met one of my favourite coachs during my college days.
Patient and always so helpful
RozanaMe

It is great to catch up with you. :)
Hopefully we will have another chance to chat while having
brunch at your favourite Pamela’s in the near future

A fabulous host too. Thanks a lots~

It is always nice to meet people you know.
It is weird that you only realise their presence and
how they meant to you after you do not feel their
presence for some time.

Jimui Outing 16/17 Jun 07

12 12 2007

Three of us “sa po” went to Genting for a night. I should say it was our first all-girls-only vacation.

It was fun and I feel like I was in secondary school again.

We did gals’ stuffs like experimenting makeup :o and also catch up with each other.

The Precious Frame

10 10 2007

The were quite a few Malaysians in CMU when Eunice was there. The Malaysians in CMU had get-togethers now and then just to hang out and get to know each other better. There were two or three Malaysian families who joined them too. They also had students from another university which is near CMU in these gatherings. Usually, the other students were the minorities because there were only a handful of them and also, they were not close because they were pursuing different majors. The CMU-ians on the other hand can be considered close-knit as a majority of them were pursuing the same major. So, usually in these gatherings, the CMU-ians will just banter away happily as they were comfortable with each other. Eunice talked to people other than the CMU-ians in these gatherings because it was nice to know other people better. It was also with the hope that they enjoy these gatherings.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was the graduation dinner organized by the Malaysians in CMU. Eunice was also graduating that year. As usual, they invited the families and students from the neighboring university. Suddenly one person from the other university passed something to Eunice. Eunice was surprised as she was the only person the guy gave the present to. She asked him, “What is this for?” He answered, “This is because you are nice. You seemed like you really cared and came to talk to us.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is a beautiful picture frame. Eunice is happy that she made someone feel better or in any way has a positive influence on the person. She would also like to thank him for letting her know.

My first ‘BUILD-A-BEAR’ Bear!

24 09 2007

I introduce you Pinky my FIRST ‘Build-A-Bear’ ! Yee Lin is truly a gem. She really can make me feel like a small kid grinning from ear to ear. She knows I would be on cloud nine if I were to receive a bear from ‘Build-A-Bear’. I didn’t even need to ask for it. =) It isn’t just any other ordinary bear you can buy ready-made from any departmental store. Each bear is UNIQUE and PERSONALIZED! The are a wide selection of ‘body’, clothing and accessories to choose from! I took so long to chose an outfit for a bear which I bought for my friend last time. You are simply spoilt with choice! You can even record a PERSONALIZED audio message to be put in the bear!

P/S: For guys out there, I am sure your gf will like to receive something like this no matter how old they are =P
